Electronic Measurements and Signal Processing Research Group
Technische Universität Ilmenau (TUIL) participates in the Meteracom project with the chair for Electronic Measurements and Signal Processing (EMS).
The chair at TUIL is complemented by a department having the same name at Fraunhofer Institute of Integrated Circuits (IIS). With this, the research group carries out fundamental research with the aim of transferring its results into application-oriented projects funded by public institutions and industrial partners in in the field of mobile communications and signal processing. The research group, counting over 60 researchers, is led by Prof. Giovanni Del Galdo, who will join the Meteracom Consortium for Phase II.
In the Meteracom project, Prof. Reiner Thomä, senior advisor at EMS, directs the research work with his expertise in channel sounding, antenna calibration, parameter estimation, and characterization of the propagation channel.
